For most of Vasa Mihich's career he has worked with flirty, bright candy colors notably fuchsia and a wide spectrum of pinks.  However, in recent years Mihich has embraced darker, richer hues - greens that recall jade or even teal. 

Vasa Mihich is a renowned artist who is known for his sleek, colorful and captivating acrylic sculptures.

His best sculptures are composed of geometric planes of different colors suspended in acrylic. 

This work is a fantastic example of the mysterious "ombré" affect the artist has mastered.  How do dense shades of jade green and cobalt blue merge? 

When you look at the sculpture from another angle or lighting you discover different shades and colors projected within the work or it's phantom shadow. 

Caviar20 has long championed Mihich; both his opened editioned pieces, his major sculptures and smaller vintage pieces. 

This striking rhombus, that shifts from evergreen to jade with a touch of electric midnight blue is a fine example of his recent work. 

While Mihich has been based in Los Angeles for decades and taught at UCLA for most of his career, this sculpture recalls the lush Northwest. It is as if he was referencing a verdant landscape, complete with one side in cool shade and the other with blue streams. This is one of the most beautiful combination of colors we've ever handled by this master of color and light.

This work is ideal size. It has major presence standing, whether on a plinth, desk or mantle and equally fascinating on one its sides.
