This graceful Necklace showcases a Turquoise and Sterling Silver Butterfly Pendant by Jewelry artist D. Strongston. The Pendant is beautifully crafted, with nine sky-blue Turquoise stones shaped and arranged to depict the Butterfly's wings and body. The center Turquoise stone is further embellished with Twisted Sterling Silver Wire. The stones are wrapped in raised Sterling Silver Bezels, and placed on Sterling Silver Plate that has been artfully contoured. The Sterling is stamped, and adorned with Sterling Silver Balls. The Butterfly Pendant hangs from a custom Sterling Silver Bail, which includes a Sterling Wire shaped to portray the Butterfly's antennae. The Pendant is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." We've paired the Butterfly Pendant with three strands of 7mm Turquoise Rounds, in myriad hues of blue with brown matrix. The Turquoise is complemented by 3mm translucent gray Fire Polished Glass, which is faceted and displays a subtle sparkle. The stones are highlighted by six 7-by-9mm Hill Tribe Silver Rondelles, stamped in a flower pattern. At the top of the Necklace the three Strands of Turquoise transition to 3 strands of 3mm Olive Shell Heishi, ensuring a comfortable fit. The Necklace is finished with Sterling Silver Rounds and Toggle Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm. The piece weighs 115 grams and is 20-1/2 inches long plus the Pendant, which is 2-1/8 inches by 1-7/8 inches including the 3/4-inch Bail (about a 9 inch vertical hang length when wearing).
